A look back at 2020

BC&T wasn't slowed down by the pandemic although we had to change to a work from home model for the staff we were still able to meet all deadlines and complete the following projects;

CLIENT: TRANT

Scope: Provide a full mechanical design package including some civil and structural design to allow for the expansion of fuel storage and loading capabilities at one of the UK's busiest airports.

CLIENT: OIKOS

Scope: Provide a full FEED review for the development and expansion of the south side of the terminal including a new tank farm and increased rack loading capacity along with tying into the existing infrastructure to allow for distribution around the UK using the national pipelines.

CLIENT: CLH

Scope: Provide a full Civil, Structural, Mechanical and E&I design package to facilitate the upgrade of the pumps and associated pipework on site increasing throughput and loading capacity for the terminal.

Oikos Project Premo

Client: Oikos Storage Ltd

This scope of this project was to expand existing road loading to a 3rd rack for B7 and B30 product along with new additive facilities. The design included 2 new additive tanks, offloading point, pump skids, new pipework for B7 and B30 import to existing storage tanks and new export pipework to a new road loading bay. During construction BC&T were appointed principal contractor overseeing all aspects of the construction and commissioning phase.

A Look Back At 2019

It was a busy year for BC&T with 2 projects requiring on site project management and a host of design projects undertaken. Here are some brief highlights of the works done this year;

Client: Oikos Storage Ltd

Scope: On site project management overseeing the installation of a new loading rack, new additive tanks and associated equipment as designed in house at BC&T

Scope: On site project management overseeing the installation of pipework and equipment to connect to the UKOP national pipeline as designed in house at BC&T

Client: Puma Energy

Scope: Full design works for new V-power additive and SUL facility to tie into existing infrastructure allowing for road loading facilities

Client: Stolt

Scope: Complete design of a new firewater ring main for area 2 tying into the existing infrastructure for the rest of the site

A Look Back At 2018

It has been another busy year with the completion of numerous design projects. Here is a brief highlight of some of the works completed this year:

Scope: GPSS FEED Study to allow for the delivery of aviation fuel to an underground pipeline network.

Client: World Fuel Services
Scope: Mechanical design of new ship import and export pipelines to the existing tank storage facility.

Client: Stolt
Scope: Civil Design package for tank farm upgrade.

Client: Oikos Storage Ltd
Scope: Full Design works for the redevelopment of an existing tank bund along with import systems from a new deep water berth and export systems to UKOP pipeline network.

A Look Back At 2017

Building on 2016 the company continued to grow with an increase in the number projects and staff taken on. Here is an overview of some of the projects completed:

Scope: Design and install SUL and Additive facilities along with changes to rack configuration to allow for loading of new product.

Client: Valero
Scope: Full Design works for the upgrade of the existing firefighting equipment.

Client: Geostock
Scope: To oversee the commissioning of underground caverns storage facility in Singapore.

2016 saw the company grow with an increase in demand for both design and on-site project management. Below is a short highlight of some of the works completed this year:

Scope: Civil Design for two new Above Ground Storage Tanks secondary containment bunds inclusive of tank foundation design.

Client: Stolt
Scope: Civil design package for bund remediation works.

Client: Puma Energy
Scope: Design works for the installation of ‘V’ Power facility following with on site Project Management to oversee installation.

Client:P66
Scope: To conduct inspection of storage tanks, produce reports and repair scope of works and drawings in accordance with API 653 and EEMUA.

Chimons Gas LPG Import Terminal

BC&T completes 3D modelling of the Chimons Gas LPG Import Terminal at Koko Port in Nigeria. The 8,000T import terminal and related documentation may be viewed by clicking the associated link at the bottom of this article.

A Look Back At 2014

The year 2014 proved to be yet another busy and successful year for the staff at BC&T Consultants. The year saw the completion of a multitude of interesting projects. Here is just a brief selection:

Scope: CADWorx 3D modelling and pipe stress analysis for ETPL LNG Project, Pakistan.

Scope: Design of new pile wall secondary containment system at the client’s Immingham East Terminal.

LPG Storage Tanks Move Featured In Heavy Lift & Project Forwarding International Magazine

The movement of the LPG storage tanks from Italy to Mauritius for the recently completed LJC Petredec Mauritius LPG Terminal were featured in Heavy Lift & Project Forwarding International Magazine.

Petredec LPG Terminal completion

On the 20th of March 2014, Petredec Mauritius inaugerated their new LPG Mounded Storage Import & Re-export Terminal, the largest on-land LPG storage facility in the region.

Designed by BC&T Consultants in the UK and constructed by our sister company Lloyd Jones Construction (LJC) the terminal was successfully commissioned earlier this year and is now fully operational.

Coming soon...additional photos and a documentary film showing the offloading of the vessels in Mauritius through to the completion of the construction.

Vessels Installed

We are pleased to announce that all three vessels are now installed on the mound. Back filling of the mound continues, up to vessel hydro-test level.

Installation of pipework has commenced, control building internal fit out progresses.

Vessels Arrive

We are pleased to write that the three vessels have now arrived in Mauritius and been driven off the ship.

Two of the vessels are parked, whilst the first is being driven to the mound to be attached to the bespoke rail system and moved into place, further details to follow....

Petredec LPG Mauritius Steelwork

The process area steel work and vessel loading gantries are now in place, fabrication and erection of steelwork to support piping and equipment progresses on schedule.

Petredec Vessels sail to Mauritius

The vessels have been loaded onto the ship and are currently sailing to Mauritius for arrival in mid February. Site progress continues at pace. The picture shows one of the vessels being transferred from the loading barge to the main ship.

Mauritius LPG Terminal Progress

The Vessels are prepared and ready to ship from Itay. In Mauritius the mound is prepared to installation level and profiled ready to receive vessels up on arrival. The Main Control Building structure is now complete, with internal works and services progressing rapidly. The picture shows the mound fill cut to the profile of the underside of the vessel, ready for the vessels to be driven into place using the SPMT’s, before the mound is finally constructed around them.
